Our Story

NYC selected Harriman to run one of Mayor DiBlasio’s signature SONYC after-school programs at the MS 183 middle school in Far Rockaway, Queens.

After a successful year, NYC awarded Harriman our first COMPASS program at PS193 Elementary School in Brooklyn.

DYCD selected Harriman to run a SONYC after school program at PS/MS 114 in Belle Harbor.

In 2020, Harriman Programs supported our schools, parents, and students during the COVID-19 pandemic (or during the pandemic) when the schools were closed. We hosted virtual after-school programs that gave our students a place to have fun and connect.

Harriman Programs added an additional school, Eagle Academy for Young Men in Southeast Queens.

Harriman Programs also hired Paul Engram as our Director of Financial Equity and Empowerment. With Paul’s guidance, Harriman implemented our Harriman Student Economy to help our students learn about investments, savings, and real-world financial problem solving.
